Most flats and small houses land between £150 and £250, with larger properties and HMOs between £250 and £400 because there are more circuits. Multi-property rates are agreed up front.
Does my HMO need one more often?
Licensed HMOs are usually tested every five years like any rental, but licence conditions can ask for more, so check the terms your council set. I work to whichever is stricter.
Can you test with tenants living there?
